Welcome to Wizards on Western!
A non-profit, volunteer ran community festival celebrating imagination, the wonder of Magic and the adventures of reading. Previously known as the Harry Potter Festival, Wizards on Western is a free, family friendly event with wizard related activities and games, along with food trucks and vendors. Come help celebrate the boy who lived on November 12, 2017, along Western Avenue from 39th Street to 44th Street. Costumes encouraged! All ages welcome.
*This event is no way endorsed or affiliated with Warner Bros. or Harry Potter.
Last year, festival organizers only planned for about 5,000 people turning up and got over 20,000. They have received feedback for improvement and are planning things differently for this year’s event. Please understand that this is an event put on by volunteers, if you would like to volunteer to help with crowd control, please watch for our volunteer opportunities.
To reduce lines there will be more food trucks and refreshments, multiple vendors selling wands and other great items, cool November weather for costumes, shuttle vans.
Other activities planned include:
- Selfie Stations and Photo-ops
- Escape the Hogwart’s Expressed themed crate
- Help free the house elves by donating a new pair of socks benefiting The Homeless Alliance of Oklahoma
- Shop the amazing selection of vendors
- A Harry Potter themed band inside Will Rogers (admission required)
- The Tri-Wizard Harry Potter Trivia (admission required)
